Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival to Yerevan, transfer from the airport to hotel. Next morning we will go for a guided walking tour in Yerevan, so you can get the taste of the city. Accommodation in Yerevan.

Day 2

We start off with a tour to the only survived pagan temple of Garni. After a short visit there, we head to Geghard Monastery- a UNESCO heritage site. We return back to Yerevan to visit the Matenadaran Manuscript museum, where thousands of ancient manuscripts are kept from around the world. Optionally you can opt for a free afternoon to explore the city yourself with some great tips from our staff 😉

Day 3

Destination Gyumri, the second-largest city in Armenia, located in the north-west of the country. Gyumri, formerly known as Alexandrapol is a city with a rich cultural heritage and many authentic experiences. Gyumri is famous for its uncompromising cuisine and alcohol consumption.

Day 4

Early in the morning we hope you don’t have hangover, so we can continue our journey towards the province of Lori. It is famous for its breathtaking views of the Debed River canyons and mild climate. On our way we will visit Haghpat-another UNESCO-listed cultural heritage monument, a 11-12th century monastic complex in the Lori region of Armenia. Afterwards, a quick tour to Zarni-Parni a fortress carved in a cave. We finish off the day in a glamping site not far away from the monastery.

Day 5

After a relaxing stay in the glamping site, we head south to Dilijan which is entirely located in a National Park. We will have a short break for a lunch and a stroll in the town. Later on we will continue our way towards the famous lake Sevan for a relaxing evening. We will stay in an amazing hotel with a pool and sauna and great views of the lake Sevan.

Day 6

We leave Tsapatagh early in the morning and follow the traces of traders of the silk road connecting China and Europe. Heading south towards the breathtaking Selim mountain pass where the Orbelian Caravanserai is located, where traders used to rest. After that we make a short stop at the Noravank church built in the 13th century and continue to the north towards Yerevan.Before we reach our final destination in Yerevan, we will stop in a very nice family-run winery for a great lunch and wine tasting. Optionally we can also visit a peculiar and unlikely spot-the Areni-1 cave, where bronze-age wineries were discovered recently. There you can see 6000-year old clay amphorae, where our ancestors made wine…and worshiped fire by making human sacrifices.

Day 7

Your last full day day in Yerevan starts with a breakfast at the hotel, after which you have some free time for yourself. No events are planned for that day, except an optional get-together to celebrate your journey and savor some wine.

Day 8

After you check-out from the hotel, we will take you to the airport and say “See you next time”!
